Building an industry from the ground up

Kings Cross Cannabis AKA KXC is the parent company to a number of businesses serving the nascent European recreational cannabis market and provides European market entry via distribution and marketing through their proprietary ad network and other digital assets. It’s HQ is located in the chic King’s Cross area, giving it an iconic feel as a major central meeting point in London.

The company CEO Josh Levi reached out to May and myself, after a couple of successful projects in the

past and offered to co-operate again for branding KXC. We set the goal is to convey the feeling of being sleek but corporate like a multinational company you’d expect to see on the stock exchange.
The company asked us to create a sleek, classy brand.

We wanted to create the GQ of cannabis.

Early Rounds

We decided the company needs to stand out using a simple, powerful icon embedding the power points of KXC.

We focused on the junction KXC is at literally and figurative while exploring shapes that communicate cannabis.


The Logo

Eventually we were very happy with the one icon that stood out the most. We were pleased that it could hold so many of the qualities we set for ourselves at the start.

A powerful emblem embedding the junction KXC are at as a company, creating something out of nothing. The icon hints cannabis and seems like it’s mid-movement, just as the market is. Building an industry from the ground up.
